My
Story
I am a born and raised Baltimorean. Family values and traditions led me to continue the legacy of my family as the fifth member to attend Towson University.
Entering Towson University, I wanted to pursue cancer research within a hospital setting. I soon realized I wanted to have more direct involvement with patients and stumbled upon the child life track in Family Studies.
After discovering child life, I knew it was my calling. I added a second major in psychology during undergrad because it complements child life well, and also persued my Master's in Child Life, Administration and Family Collaboration.
I have always worked with children and admired their innocence in the world. Through the field of child life I hope to increase children and families coping and decrease stress and anxiety in healthcare settings. I want to advocate for children and families with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best care.
Welcome to my story! Through this page you will learn about how I discovered child life and why I chose to study the profession.
